GPS software for smatphones

Postby smokey5159 » 11 Nov 2009, 18:00

Hi,

Just new to the site and was wondering if anyone could help with a GPS software question.

I have an LG GM730 smartphone that is running Windows Mobile 6.1 with an on-board GPS unit. I would like to run a GPS program of some sort, but don't know if I can or which one would be the best.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - thanx.

Hi,

No sorry - I didn't make myself clear. I don't want to go through server (internet) connection (I am aware of Google maps) but a stand alone GPS Nav system like you can buy for your car etc...

I know that you can get software (Tom Tom, Nav Man etc.) that will utilise the on-board GPS that my phone has.

Thanks again.
