home theatre speakers

I am looking at getting some home theatre gear. Have Pioneer plasma pdp 435pg.Looking at the new pioneer LX70 receiver + DVD/recorder. Not sure about the speakers-want small ones something like the KEF 3005 or mirage prestige or v2 with velodyne sub. Any suggestions? Also has anyone heard the new pioneer LX speakers?
