Portable DVD Player, Audiosonic.

DVD recorders, Blu-ray, HD set-top boxes and digital video recorders

Ok, so i have this Audiosonic portable DVD player. (KMDVD265)
It's not region free, i would like it to be, but there is no record on the internet about it whatsoever.

Ok i thought, i'll call Audiosonic and ask them. But hey wait, they technically don't exist! Some Kmart branded junk, and theres no listing in white or yellow pages.

So my questions are
A) is there anyone who knows how to unlock this portable dvd player.
B) does anyone know the phone number of the company which distributes Audiosonic?
C)Is there a universal way to unlock all dvd players? (My guess is no)

Any help would be great, thanks guys.

Ok so i tracked it down. The manufacturer/distributor is 'Kenmark'.

To unlock (just incase anyone else is looking for and stumbles across this)

You:

Turn player on,
Open disc Lid
Using the remote, enter code 5168
A screen will appear with a list of regions, choose region '0' (for region free) and press enter.

seems so easy, doesn't it!

Hi,

I have a tv that's audiosonic and - surprise! - it's locked. We went to change the batteries on the remote and then turned the tv on to find the key lock.

Just wondered what kenmark in melbourne it is. I looked it up and there's one in maidstone and one in South Melbourne.

Other than that, we're stuck - annoying.

Thanks
Tracey

How exactly is the tv locked?
I've got a child lock button on my tv remote, if you hold it down for a few seconds the lock engaged/disengages.

Anyway, Audiosonic products are distributed by two companies, depending on the product. It could be Kenmark or Yale. It's best to call both and give them your tv model number- they can look it up on their system and tell you whether it's one of theirs or not.

Anyway, the numbers can be found on the back of the KMART returns policy booklet:

http://www.kmart.com.au/about/returnspo ... _page1.pdf

Third and fourth number from top.

Hope this helped,

Is the power supply center negative or center positive?
We've got one of these left to us without a power supply and no idea of which one to buy.
Thanks :)

Hi, we have an audiosonic in-car DVD player with dual screens. We lost the A/V leads that link the picture to both screens. I've asked around different audio/visual shops and no-one seems to have heard of or seen the A/v lead that goes with it. The DC-AV cable has the usual white red yellow connections and then there are on both sides two 9v-12v jacks. So the leads go respectively, (main unit) yellow, red, white, black 9v-12vjack and (monitor) yellow, red, white, yellow9v-12vjack. 4 jacks on each side.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these leads?? We need it to keep our kids from arguing on long trips....
I really hope someone can help us
