I've got an Acer Aspire Sa80 (yeah I know Ancient) and it has an intel celeron D 3.06 gigahertz what does the "D" stand for and is it a Duo?

Unlike you'd suspect, the "D" doesn't mean your processor is dual core. It just means you've either got a Prescott or Cedar-Mill (internal Intel codenames) based CPU there.
If it's a Celeron D 346, you've got a Prescott (90nm process, 256KB L2 cache). If it's a 347, it's a Cedar-Mill, with double the L2 cache and on a 65nm process.
