Navman My55T problems with european maps
Well everybody, I heard Navman support is lousy and I am beginning to experience it myself. I bought a Navman 55T two weeks ago, installed western european maps and turned the device into a near-vegetable: It didn't lockin to the gps signal, when I went to 'find' or 'maps' the device locked up and needed to be reset, the device did not respond when I tried to enable functions like bluetooth.
So I called Navman and eventually replaced the device under warranty. After much fuss about transferring the product key for the european maps to the new device, I installed the european maps and you guessed it ... the new device has become a near-vegetable too.
I found this out at 5.10pm Friday, and guess when support will next be available .... Monday!
Does anyone know a work around for this problem?
I am about to go overseas and I need the damn thing to work. I hope I can write a new post in the next few days reporting that Navman did wonderfully and fixed this problem, but right now I am not confident!
