Satellite Broadband

Has anyone had much experience with satellite broadband? After years of putting up with 28 kbps on the aging phone network, I have recently installed activ8 satellite. It is fast, up to 3500 kbps on a good day but is supceptble [?] to dropouts lasting maybe 5-10 minutes. Is this normal?

had satalite broadband for a whole weekend courtesy of telstra was ultra fast and absolutely no drop out and a consistant kbs ,your carrier might have been a second or third provider so yu will not have priority over the main provider of the sat connection ,if a sat is busy it will only take the main providers but will transfer yu to a sat that is not so busy but it may be more out of range to get good signal , hope this helps
